Interiors designed around how you actually live.
A full-service interior design firm in NYC — apartments, condos, brownstones, and luxury residences across all five boroughs. Architecture-led design from spatial planning through final styling, without handing you off between teams.
Founded on the idea that one team should handle everything.
ArcheA Studio was founded by Ana Kurtsikidze — a licensed architect with over 16 years of experience and a Master’s in Architecture and Design. The firm approaches every interior from an architectural perspective, integrating spatial planning, material selection, custom millwork, lighting design, and furniture specification directly into the design process.
Whether the project is a pre-war apartment renovation on the Upper East Side, a brownstone fit-out in Brooklyn, or a luxury condo transformation in Tribeca, one team manages the full scope from the first sketch to the finished and styled interior — without handing you off between a designer and a separate architect of record.
What we design.
Six interior design practice areas, one integrated team. Every interior is designed from scratch around your lifestyle, spatial constraints, material preferences, and budget — not adapted from a template.
Interiors defined by the precision of their details.
Luxury interior design in New York City is not defined by price alone — it is defined by the quality of detail. The precision of a millwork joint, the weight of a door handle, the way light falls across a stone surface at dusk. ArcheA Studio delivers luxury interior design through meticulous material curation, custom furniture specification, bespoke cabinetry, and an integrated approach that treats every finish decision as part of a larger spatial composition. Upper East Side, Tribeca lofts, Westchester estates, and beyond.
Every square foot resolved — nothing wasted
New York City apartments present one of the most demanding challenges in interior design — small footprints, irregular layouts, limited storage, and building restrictions. ArcheA Studio specializes in NYC apartment interior design, optimizing every square foot through intelligent spatial planning, built-in storage solutions, and material selections that make compact spaces feel open and considered. Pre-war co-ops, post-war rentals, and new development units across all five boroughs.
Historic character, contemporary living
Brooklyn brownstones are among the most architecturally significant — and most complex — typologies to renovate in New York City. ArcheA Studio designs brownstone interiors that preserve plaster cornices, original hardwood floors, pocket doors, and decorative mantels while introducing modern layouts, updated kitchens and bathrooms, and contemporary material palettes that feel at home in a 19th-century structure. Park Slope, Carroll Gardens, Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights, Fort Greene, and beyond.
From alteration agreement to move-in day
ArcheA Studio manages all aspects of condo interior design — reviewing alteration agreements, coordinating with building management, designing from spatial concept through finish specification, and handling all DOB NOW filings. Manhattan, Brooklyn, Long Island City, and Hoboken.
Built-ins designed to the inch
Built-in cabinetry, kitchen joinery, library walls, window seats, and integrated storage. Every piece drawn in detail, specified with materials and hardware, and coordinated with the contractor so the built result matches the design intent precisely. Available as standalone or part of a full interior design engagement.
Full-scope renovation, one team
Spatial reconfiguration, kitchen and bathroom renovation, custom millwork, flooring, lighting redesign, and complete finish overhauls — all DOB NOW alteration filings included. Structural engineers coordinated when walls are being removed or openings enlarged.

How we design your interior.
Every interior design project follows the same six-phase arc — though pace and specifics vary with scope, building type, and regulatory context. Here is what working with ArcheA Studio looks like from the first conversation to the finished and styled interior.
Discovery & Lifestyle Brief
A deep conversation about how you live — daily routines, aesthetic preferences, storage needs, entertaining habits. We review existing plans or measure the space. This brief becomes the foundation for every design decision that follows.
Spatial Planning & Concept
Revised floor plans that rethink how the space is organized — often revealing significant improvements. A design concept establishing material direction, palette, and spatial mood. You see the project in drawings and visual references before any decisions are committed.
Material & Finish Selection
Every material, finish, and fixture specified — flooring, wall finishes, tile, stone, paint, hardware, plumbing fixtures, and lighting. Presented in a coordinated board showing how all elements work together as a system, not as isolated choices.
Furniture & Lighting
Furniture, lighting fixtures, window treatments, and accessories selected for scale, quality, and compatibility. A complete procurement schedule so you know exactly what is being ordered, from where, and when it arrives — minimizing the coordination burden on you.
Construction Documents & Permitting
For projects involving structural changes, new plumbing, or electrical reconfiguration, we produce construction documents for DOB NOW filing. Because ArcheA Studio is a licensed architecture firm, we stamp and seal drawings in-house — eliminating the need for a separate architect of record.
Construction Admin & Styling
Site visits, contractor submittals, and construction oversight through completion. At close of construction, furniture placement, art hanging, and final styling — so the space is complete and photographable from the moment you move in.
What sets us apart.
Architecture and interior design — under one roof.
Most interior design firms in New York City cannot stamp and seal drawings for building permit applications. ArcheA Studio is a licensed architecture firm — which means we handle both the interior design and any required DOB filings in-house. This eliminates the coordination gap between your interior designer and your architect of record, saving time and reducing cost.
Interior design without precise documentation does not survive contact with a contractor. ArcheA Studio produces detailed drawings and specifications for every element of the interior — so contractors bid accurately, build correctly, and have no ambiguity about design intent. This precision reduces change orders and protects the quality of the finished result.
No imposed aesthetic
We do not have a house style that every client receives. Our portfolio spans warm minimalism, refined traditional, bold contemporary, and material-rich modern interiors — because each project begins with your preferences, not ours. The consistency across our work is in the quality of detail and the rigor of spatial planning, not the visual language.
Deep NYC building knowledge
Designing interiors in New York City requires fluency with pre-war co-ops, wet-over-dry restrictions, landmark district approvals, and building management coordination. Details that matter enormously on a New York interior project and that a generalist designer unfamiliar with the city cannot navigate efficiently.
Long-term value
A well-designed interior increases the market value of a New York City residence. Professionally designed and renovated interiors command measurably higher sale prices and spend less time on market than comparable unrenovated units (NAR, 2024). We design with resale value in mind — materials and finishes that wear well, photograph well, and appeal broadly without sacrificing the personal quality that makes a space feel lived-in.
At Manhattan’s median price per square foot, the quality of the interior design directly determines how a property is perceived, priced, and sold. An apartment with a resolved, well-executed interior will consistently outperform an equivalent unrenovated unit in both price and time on market.
Across all five boroughs — and 22 states beyond.
ArcheA’s interior design practice covers all of New York City. Manhattan — Upper East Side, Upper West Side, Tribeca, SoHo, West Village, Greenwich Village, Harlem, Midtown, and the Financial District. Brooklyn — Park Slope, Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Brooklyn Heights, DUMBO, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights, Fort Greene, and Bushwick.
Interior design work also extends into Queens (Astoria, Long Island City, Forest Hills, Sunnyside), the Bronx (Riverdale, Pelham Bay, City Island), and Staten Island (Todt Hill, Lighthouse Hill, St. George) — and beyond NYC into Westchester County (Scarsdale, White Plains, Larchmont), New Jersey, Connecticut, and 23 U.S. states total.
